Cool Compost aims to create the best indoor compost collection product for the residential market.

Winner of the $1,500 Beeck Center 2nd Place Award
Pick it Up! ––a project supported by the U.S. Census Bureau sought to tackle the plastic pollution issue at Georgetown.

Winner of the $500 Georgetown Entrepreneurship 3rd Place Award
Roost will leverage data to generate optimal flight paths to minimize the number of drone-bird interactions each day.

PETE MARRA
Director, Georgetown Environment Initiative
Pete Marra is the Director of the Georgetown Environment Initiative (GEI), Laudato Si’ Professor in Biology and the Environment, and Professor in the McCourt School of Public Policy. He is a leading environment and conservation expert, and heads GEI in bringing together students, faculty and staff across Georgetown’s campuses to contribute to the earth’s stewardship.
NATE WONG
Chief Strategy and Social Innovation Officer, Beeck Center
Nate is a champion for creating lasting social change initiatives, working to defy prevailing orthodoxies and helping to shape the very systems that impede a prosperous and equitable world for all. He oversees the Beeck Center’s differentiated approach to social innovation and scale. Prior to coming to the Beeck Center, Nate helped launch and direct two social impact units: one at Deloitte Consulting/ Monitor Deloitte and more recently at Boston Consulting Group’s non-profit, the Centre for Public Impact.
